Melissa Marie Horton Dedication March 30, 2008

Deuteronomy 11:18, 19 18 You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead.
19 You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up

What a busy month March has been. We started out with the privilege of going to Benny’s lake house for the weekend. The peace was irreplaceable. Next, Colby had his first birthday party to attend for a little boy in his preschool. They jumped to their hearts delight. Then what a fun, fun time driving to marvel at God’s glory in the bluebonnets. What a fun memory. Easter was fantastic. The service was so, so special. Carlee sang her heart out with Holy, Holy, Holy. How God has blessed her with her voice! It is amazing, but what a humble person she is with the gift. She could not be more talented or sweet. Of course the Easter Egg hunt at Nanny and Papa’s was such fun. I don’t know if Colby or the adults had more fun! My last NANC weekend for the year was this weekend. We had so many awesome teachings from such gifted men. Once again God’s grace was expounded on and so many other topics. But the crowning glory was today when families at church with babies dedicated them to the Lord. I’m so proud of Michelle and Zach for taking that important step. Pastor Sal prayed the most anointed prayer over them. How blessed Melissa and Colby are to be raised in a home that seeks to honor God and will have them in church. The bulletin for the dedication had Proverbs 22:6 on it which is “Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.” That is the verse I have always claimed for my children and my dedication. Praise God it appears all the training sank in their heart as they all are hungering to serve God and now Michelle to see her children do the same. God is so good. I praise Him that my mom and dad were there for the dedication, as they were with Colbys, as I know how special it is to them since they trained me in the same way.

God is good, all the time. And all the time, God is good!
