There are no words to explain the fun of a cruise. Terry and I totally enjoy them. You pay your money up front (which is really reasonable when you take into account your room, food, entertainment, etc is included) and then can do whatever you want. If you want to party and dance there are certainly places for that or if you prefer to be entertained there are plenty of places for that. Terry and I watched Bingo (only played twice to try to win another cruise….and lost) but watched many times. We enjoyed watching folks take dance lessons (line dancing and ballroom dance)-yes we laughed at them and was glad we had not joined them. We watched a newly wed and not so newly wed game; which was a riot…game shows, hairy chest contest, ice sculpting, towel folding, etc. It is just great time. That was just the days we were at sea. The days in port in Montego Bay, Jamaica and then Grand Cayman and then Cozumel were awesome. We climbed a waterfall in Jamaica. Well actually I climbed it and then fell a little into the coldest pool of water-it took my breath away. Not only did it take my breath but actually when I emerged my glasses were gone also. Oh yes, they were swept away in the water. Needless to say I was knocking on the door of Wal-Mart as soon as I returned to Houston to get contacts. Expensive waterfall I might add but yes it was worth it! We shopped till Terry dropped (didn’t take long) in Grand Cayman and then had the best time in Cozumel. We rented a 2 seater power boat and rode around in that gorgeous, clear, aqua water for over two hours. It was an absolute blast and something we will definitely do again. I think Terry smiled the whole 2 ½ hours-exceptional for him! After the ride we had chicken fajitas and a nice time of relaxing on the beach. I don’t want to leave out how neat all the nightly shows with big musical productions, a ventriloquist, a magician and singers. It was a great way to spend a 35th anniversary. My parents and kiddos surprised us by ordering a yummy anniversary cake delivered to our room plus while we were out our room was decorated and a great surprise when we returned. We even got Carnival beach towels as a gift from them; which came in really handy while we were in ports on our tours. Last but not least did I mention all of the ways they pamper you on ship by wonderful food always available as well as ice cream and the best hot chocolate around ready for you 24 hours a day. Our room steward had our room in perfect order any time we returned to it. Talk about being pampered!!!
What a wonderful time. It was perfect but we were ready to return home as we missed our family. Colby was real ready for his MeMaw and PePaw to be back and we were so ready to see him and Melissa. We returned home on my mom’s birthday so all collected at their house that afternoon. What a blessing!!!!
