Yesterday, in the blistering heat, we made a trip to Galveston. We had surprised Mom and Dad with a short cruise so we took them to the port. Of course we wanted Colby to get in on the fun of seeing them off so we took 2 cars there. Now Colby says he wants to be an animal rescuer (from Go Diego Go) and drive a cruise ship when he grows up. He loved the things that turned on top (the radars). We know mom and dad will have a relaxing time and can't wait to hear how it goes.
Since we were already in Galveston we also went on a ferry ride to feed the seagulls which is something we did with our kiddos from early on. That is one of the first things I remember Terry taking me on when we first married - a lifetime ago.

After the ferry ride we went to the Rainforest Cafe. Melissa LOVED the moneys and Colby LOVED the waterfall. It is such a fun place to be. We plan on returning for Colby's birthday.

Colby and Melissa were not too sure about the big frog, ChaCha, but they eventually warmed up. :)

After the Cafe it was on to the beach. Colby LOVED jumping the waves and running in the water. Melissa LOVED the sand.....digging....throwing....putting it in her hair. She is a funny girl. She does not like the water in any form but a tiny wading pool. If it is the ocean or even a regular pool she flips out. They both loved being there and we will have to return soon.
