Mother's Day!

What a nice day yesterday-Mother's Day! I couldn't of improved upon it. Church service with all the family was wonderful. Carlee's parents were in town and with us also. Then we all went to our favorite place to eat.

Sunday evening (after the "heat" of the day) we collected again at a park close by. We had such a fun time just watching the grandbabies enjoy the playground oh and did I mention my boys run around and wrestle. :) I love watching everyone laugh and enjoy each other. Colby kept offering drinks to everyone (he loved the ice chest full of ice at his disposal) and putting trash in the trash. :) Melissa loved the dirt (as usual) and managed to sneak in a few smiles. William loves watching people and all that is going on around him. They couldn't be more fun. Byron and Jeromy are a crack up together! They still love to chase each other, tackle each other and kick the ball around. Colby thinks it is grand. I really love watching my mom and dad enjoy it all. Blessed! Blessed! Blessed!

I got some special gifts but the words expressed in the cards given to me were so touching.

I received the following today and wanted to keep it because I loved what it said.

I Am a 'Kept' Woman

You see, there were a few times when I thought I would lose my mind,

But GOD kept me sane. (Isa.. 26:3)

There were times when I thought I could go no longer,

But the LORD kept me moving. (Gen 28:15)

At times, I've wanted to lash out at those whom I felt had done me wrong,

But the LORD kept my mouth shut.. (Psa. 13)

Sometimes, I think the money just isn't enough,

But GOD has helped me to keep the lights on, the water on, the car paid, the house paid, etc.., (Matt. 6:25 -34)

When I thought I would fall, HE kept me up.

When I thought I was weak, HE kept me strong! (I Pet. 5:7, Matt. 11:28-30)

I could go on and on and on, but I'm sure you hear me!

I'm blessed to be 'kept '

Do you know a 'kept ' woman?

I'm "Kept" by the Love and Grace of God

Happy Mothers' Day from one lucky, blessed, kept woman to another. How could we end up so lucky in this life. Although it comes with alot of work and effort the rewards are so great. I wanted to share a part of a song that has been on my mind with you, it's about the Savior. It says:
"How could He know the heartache I feel, when He lived a perfect life. From Gethesemane to Calvary, was it really for me that He died? Then the spirit whispers these words ringing true...From the Garden to the Cross, He walked a mile in my shoes, From the Garden to the Cross...He walked a mile...in my shoes. The whole song is beautiful, but I love that chorus so much as it gives me such perspective. Love ya tonz and thanks for being such a great example to me. We had a town meeting on teaching out kids about morality and so many people were talking about how they never "did" anything because of what their parents had taught them, my only direction in that area came in a crowed cafeteria in Singapore and having some young woman who cared about a squirrelly little 7th grader teach me about waiting till you were married! Thanks so much for keeping me safe!! Love Ya! D
